The cucumber harvester is a machine designed for semi-automatic harvesting of cucumbers. Cucumbers are picked by people lying on a slowly moving platform, and then placed on a belt that transports them to the hopper. The machine also works well for harvesting other low-lying crops, such as strawberries, and can also be used for planting and weeding.

Design

The harvester is made of high-quality materials, ensuring safety and a long service life. The machine, called an airplane, consists of two platforms on which the workers pick the fruit. The structure is covered with a waterproof tarpaulin.

Conveyors

The pickers deposit the cucumbers on a conveyor belt in front of them, from which they are transferred to a vertical belt and then transported directly to the trailer. Thanks to the hydraulic control system, the speed of the belts can be adjusted to the pace of the picking unit.

Self-propelled collection system

This is one of the most efficient harvesting systems because the harvesting speed is constant, the cucumbers are transported directly from the belts to the trailer, which saves handling time, and harvesting can be carried out in various weather conditions, as the built-in canopy protects the workers from sun and rain. Another great advantage is that workers do not trample the plants during harvesting, which translates into higher future yields.

Moving parts

All moving components are equipped with grease-free polymer bearings from the German company igus. This significantly extends the service life of the components and improves user comfort.
